The article is about Bernard Romprey and the shooting deaths of Bliss Mansfield, his wife and his two young children. 2 - This is an original newspaper clipping from the Waterbury Record dated 7/23/09 about the death of Phyllis L. Romprey. 3 - This is an original newspaper clipping from the Washington World dated 4/25/2007 about the death of Bernard T. Romprey. 4 - This is an original newspaper clipping from the Waterbury Record dated 5/17/2007 abut the graveside committal service in the Hope Cemetery in Waterbury, Vt. 5 - This is an original photo envelope owned by Cornie Hough from the Romprey's Jewelry Store in Waterbury, Vt where she had her photos developed. 6 - This is an original magazine titled "The Vermont Trooper - all 2009". There is an article on page 63 and 64 titled "Vermont's First Quadruple Murder". It was the murder of Mansfield Bliss, his wife and two small children. 7 - This is a type written "Letter To The Editor" written by Lois K. Sabin in regards to the front page headlines of July 18, 2001, "In 1945, four deaths shook Vt". There is also the original newspaper article of this writing taped to this page. 8 - This is a typewritten letter from the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Romprey from Arnold, CA where they have been living. It was a letter letting all know how they were doing since moving there. 9 - This is a very short newspaper clipping from Helen Dibbell of Waterbury Center, Vt. The clipping is titled "Good Neighbor". She is saying that the Burlington Free Press should be ashamed for putting the article about Bernard Romprey on July 18th on the front page. 10 - This is an original post card from the Burlington Free Press to Lois Sabin in Waterbury, Vermont. They were trying to get in touch because she had reached out to them. 11 - There are three original photograph envelopes from "Bernard T. Romprey, Watch Repairing, Waterbury, Vermont". Dates are 1/5/65 and 4/21/65. The third one does not have a date on it. They belonged to Cornie Hough. |
