Jasper Ayers lived in the mid 19th century in the Ricker Mountain area of Waterbury. This book contains one sentence journal entries for each day for 23 years. These entries and side notes contain ordinary doings as well as weather, deaths, and other local events. In a few places, Jasper writes down longer entries, notably a recipe for a diahrea relief and description of a overturned wagon incident. There are two inserted slips of paper with other personal information. |
