This is a manilla colored folder with an emblem on the front of two lions, underneath a caption "HIC MURUS AHENEUS". Below that in huge bold blue letters it says "A BATTERY". Below that "206th Field Artillery Battalion", "Warner Kasern - Munich, Germany - May 1952." In the folder there are six black and white photos that measure to be about 7" x 9.5". In the photo with the caption at the bottom "Detail Platoon", it has four rows of men, the bottom row kneeling (about 49 men). The second photo with the caption "Officers - First Three Grades" has three rows of men, the bottom row sitting (about 19 men). The third photo with the caption "Ammo Platoon" has two rows of men, the first row sitting (10 men). The fourth photo with the caption "2nd Plt. Firing Btry" with three rows of men, the bottom row sitting ( 25 men). The fifth photo with the caption "1st Plt. Firing Btry" with three rows of men, the bottom row sitting (27 men). The six photo with the caption "Battery Drivers" has three rows of men, the bottom row sitting (23 men).. There are three photocopied pages of the six photos with the names of the men underneath them. |
