This is a black & white photograph of Calvin Dow (far left) standing beside famous Hollywood actress Jinx Falkenburg in Kunming, China, 1944. This was at a tennis exhibition match between Cal and Jinx and two Chinese players (seen to the right) for the entertainment of thousands of soldiers. To qualify to play with Jinx, Calvin had to win a tournament between the Army and the Flying Tiger's Air Force. |
