Copy 1 - This is an original sepia photo of the 1917-1918 Basketball team. There are twelve players in the photo along with a coach. The coach is in the top row in the middle wearing a dark suit. The players are all wearing WHS uniforms. The two guys in the first row are sitting on the floor. In the second row the three are kneeling. The player in the middle is holding a baseball bat. The third row everyone is standing. The coach is standing in the middle. There is a piece of old worn paper titled at the top in blue "Waterbury Fire Department, Waterbury, Vermont" Under that the names of the players are written. At the bottom it is written "1917-1918 Basketball team". The photo measures to be about 7.5" x 9.75". The cardboard backing measures to be about 11" x 14". The frame is made of wood and is brownish color that measures to be about 12" x 15". |
