This is a willow wicker baby carriage made by the Colby Brothers Company sometime between 1850 and 1880. This company was located in Colbyville. The main basket of the carriage is made of willow. The base where the baby lays is solid pine wood. The wheels are wooden-spoked and the handle has a wooden peg running through the middle. On the spokes, hubs, and handle there are decorative red lines. |
